How to Make a Video Blog
By Shane Cibella, a graduate of The Ohio State University.
The videos blogs I do first, because I enjoy giving advice. It lets me reach out to more people online than people just coming up to the gym and talking to me about it. A lot of the topics I come up with are from people who self-submitted. They have that question. Or even friends come up to me with that question. Then I will do a little research before or I will come up with a little script of what I am going to talk about and really just sit in front of the camera and go through the topic.
Yeah, there is no big production team. I do not have a trailer outside. I am just in my apartment, filming these based on peoples' questions and what they are interested in, things that I know about.
I started weightlifting in high school for football training, also for martial arts. I took kenpo karate for years, since the age of seven. So, I started weight training at a young age. In college, I played college football for a year, so I learned a lot of advanced techniques for strength training for football. When football ended, I was so addicted to lifting, it just kept going from there.
I learned a lot from trial and error. Some things work better for me than others. A lot of over training, I guess in the early stages. I thought that being in the gym for three hours was beneficial, and it ends up really just wasting a lot of time. Think I am doing something.
I got involved with an abs website from doing some fitness modeling for magazines and some other things. So, they contacted me to start up and abs website, and asked if I could kind of be the face for it for a little bit along with some other kids for abs. What I have gotten from it is a lot of feedback for training purposes of what people are really looking for and what they are really interested in. So, you get a lot of feedback of what people really want and some of the information that is not as popular as others, so you learn what people really want out of exercise and training.
